A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Victor Kwasi Amandu, has raised concerns about the conduct of some national executives, accusing them of undermining the electoral processes in the upcoming parliamentary primaries. In a post, Dr. Amandu expressed worry that the actions of these executives could compromise democratic practices within the party.

Dr. Amandu, who is a member of the diaspora branch of the party, mentioned the General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, specifically, alleging a “gross display of arrogance” and suggesting that seats are being essentially offered for sale.

In his statement, Dr. Amandu urged caution from the National Executive Committee and National Council, emphasizing the need for a thorough investigation into the allegations to maintain the democratic integrity of the party.

Reacting to these claims, Deputy National Communications Director of the NPP, Asiedu Kokuro, dismissed the allegations as untrue. He stated, “It is not true, those claims are false, it is somebody’s conjecture.”

The allegations and counterarguments add to the complexities surrounding the internal dynamics of the NPP as it approaches its parliamentary primaries.
