The Wassa Fiase Traditional Area is mourning the loss of Nana Amoakwa III, the esteemed Damanghene and Chief of the Damang Division. Nana, who was 78 years old, peacefully passed away, leaving behind a legacy of service and leadership.

In his private life, Nana was known as COP (rtd) J. B. Amofa, a distinguished director of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) during the administration of former President Kufuor. He also served as a retired Commissioner of Police, contributing significantly to the security and well-being of the nation.

The Chiefs and people of Damang and Bosomtwi, along with the entire Wassa Fiase Traditional Area, are saddened by this loss. Nana Amoakwa III’s dedication to his community and country will be remembered fondly.

Details regarding the funeral arrangements will be communicated by the customs and traditions of the Wassa Fiase people in the Western Region.
