I have never trusted the Military’s high command and will never trust them with regards to saying exactly what happens when there’s an excess action by the military.
As a civil society organization, I initially wanted to come out to condemn the action against the military by the GA community in Tema New Town, however, I am not also convinced about the statement issued by the military hierarchy.
GAF is on record of always defaming the institution with lies and unmerited defences which are not backed by facts or the true reflection of what happened on the ground anytime there are similar situations.
Many incidents happened in Bawku where I have the facts but the military hierarchy came out to say otherwise, this is what brought the mistrust between my organization and the GAF.
In as much as I do not support the action of the GA traditional leadership in Tema New Town, three (3) people dying through this civil protest is unfortunate and I believe the GAF could have done better than this.
