Founder and Leader of the Movement for Change, Alan Kyeremanten, has affirmed his commitment to working closely with various union leaderships to address the pressing issues faced by workers if elected into power. This pledge aligns with the principles outlined in the Workers’ Manifesto of the TUC. Kyeremanten issued this statement as part of efforts to commemorate workers on May 1.

“…We commit to working collaboratively with various leadership unions to develop policy solutions that address the pressing issues facing workers, in line with the Workers’ Manifest of the TUC. We will champion their right and well-being, and build an environment where everyone is respected, protected and empowered to fulfil their potential…”
“As provided for in the constitution of Ghana, we will act with courage, commitment and conviction to protect and preserve public property, and expose and combat misuse and waste of public purse and property.”
He highlighted the challenges that workers have encountered over the years, exacerbated by the unprecedented decline in the economy.
“I recognize the challenges the workers have faced over the years including low wages, unsafe working conditions and inadequate social protection. These challenges have exacerbated by the unprecedented decline in economy over the recent years”, he stated.
