Personnal Assitant for Alan Kyerematen and the Movement for Change, Nana Yaw Sarpong, has called for the resignation of the Attorney General Godfred Dame and has strongly criticised both the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for their manipulation of public perceptions regarding corruption.

He made these assertion on his recent appearance on Ghone TV’s Breakfast Review on the ongoing high-profile case involving Hon. Ato Forson and Hon. Godfred Dame, accused of causing financial loss to the state.
The Personnal Assistant for Alan Kyerematen, added that, the Attorney General’s alleged secret interactions with a witness, which he suggested could improperly influence the case’s outcome and such actions will compromise the integrity of the prosecution process, referencing Article 88 of the 1992 Constitution.
“If I were the Minister for Justice, I would resign to allow an independent investigation to clear any allegations before considering reappointment by the President.” stressing that “transparency is vital to maintaining public trust, especially given the Minister for Justice’s role in prosecuting corruption and retrieving misappropriated funds.”
He added that, the discussion underscored the broader themes of corruption, political manipulation, and the imperative for transparency within the justice system, with a particular focus on potential conflicts of interest involving the Attorney General.
This segment has sparked considerable debate, drawing attention to the critical need for integrity and transparency in Ghana’s legal and political spheres.
