Israeli occupation should leave Palestinian lands – Palestinian Ambassador to Ghana

The Palestinian Ambassador to Ghana, H.E Abdalfatah Alsatarri and the Socialist Movement of Ghana held a “Car Parade” for Palestinian in the streets of Accra on Saturday 15 June 2024 in solidarity with Palestine in the ongoing Israel-Palestinian conflict which was organised to show solidarity with the Palestinian cause.

His Excellence Abdalfatah Alsatarri  made a passionate plea for the cessation of israeli occupation of Palestinana lands.
Addressing the media, Ambassador Alsatarri recounted the decades of long struggle of the Palestinian people including the arrest and killing of civilians such as journalists, students,  and healthcare professionals.


“They’ve arrested and killed people including journalists, nurses, doctors, and teacher. They’ve been bombing our housing, stealing our lands and building illegal settlements for 75 years now.”
The Ambassador also condemned the continous bombing of residential areas, land appropriation, and the establishment of illegal settlements by Israel.


“Our struggle stated from the first moment when Israel started to occupy my country. My people have suffered for 75 years now under Israel Occupation.”
He added that, ” This is the moment for the world to understand more about Palestine. And for all of them to say in one voice, the Israeli occupation should leave Palestinian lands.”
Madam Laurita Naade Ashly , Women’s leader of the Socialist Movement of Ghana, condemned the attacks on Palestine and asked leaders to stand with Palestine in its fight against injustice.

Speaking to OnlineTimes News Journalist, Matthew Ahivah, She, “Today’s car parade is in solidarity with our friends, brothers, children and women in Palestine we stand with them in solidarity for their fight for their homeland.
“They are fighting for their dignity, they are fighting for their land and the UN, America and the world is quiet about it.”

She added that, “They just keep making empty promises and we are saying we want action and not words”.
According to her, Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel must stop the inhumane activities he’s doing, as Women and children in Gaza are being killed each and every day.
She urged leaders around the world to join the call for an end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to save the lives of the vulnerable.
