Members of the Locked-up Investment Holders Forum have declared their intention to carry on picketing in their struggle for the release of depositor funds that are held in bankrupt financial firms that hold Bank of Ghana licenses.

According to a press notice issued by the forum, members will convene at the premises of NDK at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, before marching to the Ministry of Finance. The picketing at the Ministry will last until noon.

Dr. Adu A. Antwi, the convener of the forum, emphasized the group’s commitment to seeking justice for depositors whose funds have been inaccessible due to the insolvency of these financial institutions. The ongoing demonstrations aim to draw attention to the plight of affected depositors and urge the government to take swift actionto address the issue.

The Locked-up Investment Holders Forum has been actively campaigning for the release of these funds, advocating for the financial rights of depositors and pushing for policy changes to prevent similar situations in the future.
