The Ghana Police Service has launched an investigation into the shooting of three individuals at Baniekrom near Mankraso in the Ashanti region. According to a press release dated July 2, 2024, suspect Osman Majeed allegedly shot the individuals, claiming they were part of a group that had come to attack him.
Upon visiting the scene, the police recovered the bodies of the deceased, along with one motorbike, eight spent cartridges, and several cutlasses. The bodies have been transported to the morgue for autopsy and preservation.
Efforts are currently underway to locate Osman Majeed, who is still at large. The police urge the community to remain calm as the investigation continues to bring the perpetrators to justice.
