Lawyer Nana Adjei Baffour Awuah has emerged victorious in the Manhyia South Parliamentary primary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), securing 376 votes.
Owusu Afriyie Prempeh, the brother of incumbent MP Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, garnered 141 votes. James Owusu received 7 votes, and Akwasi Coker Gyambibi obtained 2 votes.
Prof. Smart Sarpong’s science and data research had predicted Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah’s victory in the Manhyia South Parliamentary Primary, forecasting he would win with no less than 70% of the delegates’ votes.
The primary followed the elevation of Dr. Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as NAPO, as the running mate to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the NPP.
