Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party, Richard Ahiagbah, is receiving positive treatment after a serious accident near Konongo, confirmed the party.
The accident happened early Saturday morning at around 1:30 am on the Kumasi-Accra highway near Aduapompo, while Ahiagbah was en route to Kumasi for a scheduled programme. Preliminary reports indicate that Ahiagbah was the sole occupant of his vehicle when it collided with an articulated truck.
In a statement dated Sunday, July 28, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Justin Kodua Frimpong, said:
“Mr Ahiagbah is in a stable condition and is responding positively to treatment. The attending doctors have advised limiting visitors to ensure Mr Ahiagbah receives adequate rest during his recovery.”
The New Patriotic Party expressed its sincere gratitude to Ghanaians for their outpouring of prayers and well wishes for its Communications Director.

On Sunday, Justin Kodua Frimpong, along with other party executives, visited Richard Ahiagbah at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), where he is receiving treatment.
