
The Ghana National Gas Company Limited (Ghana Gas) has announced a planned shutdown of its Gas Processing Plant and offshore Gas Export Facilities from August 1 to 17, 2024. This 17-day maintenance period is crucial for enhancing the plant’s operational efficiency and ensuring uninterrupted gas supply in the future.
“The Ghana National Gas Limited Company (Ghana Gas) wishes to bring to the attention of the general public that its Gas Processing Plant (GPP) and offshore Gas Export Facilities will be shut down from 1st to 17th August 2024.”
“The shutdown is to enable critical safety and essential maintenance works to enhance the plant’s operational efficiency and uninterrupted gas supply.”
Despite the temporary halt in operations, the company assures the public that power supply will remain unaffected during this period.
Ernest Kofi Owusu-Bempah Bonsu, Head of Corporate Communications at Ghana Gas, stated that “During the shutdown period, Lean Gas from the Sankofa-OCTP field will be available for delivery at the Takoradi Distribution Station (TDS).”
Ghana Gas deeply regrets any inconvenience the shutdown may cause but assures the general public that there will be an uninterrupted power supply during the shutdown period.
