The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has issued a strict directive to cease all communication on television and FM radio stations within the Walewale Constituency, effectively imposing a media blackout on rival factions.
“Effective immediately, all factions of the NPP (New Patriotic Party) in the Walewale Constituency, specifically the Hajia Lariba and Dr. Kabiru camps, are hereby directed to cease all forms of communication through TV and FM channels”.
This order, signed by Fuseini Nurudeen, the Regional Chairman of the Northeast Region, specifically targets the camps of Hajia Lariba and Dr. Kabiru.
The directive encompasses a wide range of media activities, including interviews, health walks, press conferences, announcements, and any public statements intended for broadcast.
“This order includes, but is not limited to, interviews, health walks, press conferences, announcements, and any public statements intended for broadcast”.
Fuseini Nurudeen added that “this directive is issued to maintain order and prevent any potential conflicts that may arise from unrestricted communications on public airwaves until the court delivers a ruling on the ongoing case”.
The media blackout will remain in effect until the court delivers its ruling on the matter at hand.
“Compliance with this notice is mandatory from the date of issuance. Any failure to adhere to this directive may result in further regulatory actions”.
