The Ghana Police Service has interdicted two officers, Lance Corporal Philimon Agbevem and Lance Corporal Peter Gbadagbo, following allegations of extorting money from a motor pillion rider in Accra.
The incident is reported to have occurred on July 22, 2024. In response to the viral allegations, police leadership initiated an immediate investigation on August 9, 2024.
A police statement confirmed that both officers are currently assisting with the investigation and will be subjected to due legal processes as the case unfolds.
