Veteran Broadcaster Godwin Avenorgbor Passes Away

Renowned broadcaster Godwin Avenorgbor, affectionately known as “Big Godwin,” has passed away, according to reports gathered by OnlineTimesGH.com. He died on August 19, 2024, with the cause of death yet to be confirmed.

At the time of his passing, Avenorgbor, who was fondly called “The Grandmaster,” served as the Director of Communication for the Melcom Group of Companies.

In a brief statement shared on the official Facebook page of Ghana Television, where Avenorgbor built his broadcasting career, it was stated, “The ‘Grandmaster’ (Godwin Avenorgbor) bows out. May his gentle soul rest in peace.”
