St. Louis rapper Nelly and Grammy-winning singer Ashanti have welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Kareem Kenkaide Haynes, born on July 18th, 2024.
According to a representative for the couple, “The proud and happy parents are so in love with KK!” Ashanti has revealed that she gave her son the middle name Kenkaide as a heartfelt tribute to her father’s first name.
The power couple, who tied the knot in December 2023, shared the exciting news on social media, with Ashanti posting a heartwarming postpartum photo and video. In her post, she expressed her love for her newborn son and gratitude for her body.
Fans and friends have flooded social media with congratulatory messages, welcoming the arrival of baby Kareem. This is the first child for Ashanti and the fourth for Nelly, who has three children from previous relationships.
