Renowned Ghanaian broadcaster Godwin Avenorgbo, affectionately known as ‘The Grandmaster’, will be laid to rest on September 14, 2024, at the Lashibi Funeral Home near Accra.
The funeral, scheduled for 1 pm, will follow a black-and-white dress code. This announcement was made by family head Kanghla Blasu during a briefing with the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) National Executive.
The GJA has opened a Book of Condolence at the Ghana International Press Centre, which will remain accessible for 10 days.
Tributes have poured in for Avenorgbo, who passed away on August 19, 2024, after a brief illness.
