Former President and National Democratic Congress (NDC) Flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has continued his regional campaign tour, stopping at the Ashaiman Constituency, where residents and traditional leaders warmly received him.
The Ashaiman Traditional Council seized the opportunity to passionately appeal to Mahama for the improvement of their poor roads and to address the pressing issue of unemployment that has plagued the area for years.
During the meeting, the Council expressed its deep concerns, stating, “Our roads have been neglected for far too long. The youth are struggling with unemployment, and our market lacks the necessary infrastructure to support local traders. We urge you to consider these issues if you are elected into power again.”
In response, Mahama acknowledged the council’s concerns and assured them that their needs would be a priority under his administration.
“I hear your concerns, and I want to assure you that if given the mandate, I will tackle these issues head-on. We will fix your roads and build a modern market that will serve the people of Ashaiman and beyond. My vision for a 24-hour economy will address unemployment by creating jobs, especially for the youth,” he stated.
Mahama emphasized that the NDC’s plan for a 24-hour economy is designed to generate continuous employment opportunities and stimulate local businesses.
He urged the residents of Ashaiman to vote for him and the NDC Parliamentary candidate, reiterating his commitment to delivering on these promises.
“We need your support to make this vision a reality. Together, we can build a better Ashaiman and a better Ghana,” Mahama concluded, drawing applause from the gathered crowd.
