The Ministry of Education has announced the release of GHC50 million to the West African Examination Council (WAEC) to support the conduct of national examinations.
In a statement released by the ministry, this funding will facilitate the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
“The Ministry of Education is pleased to announce the release of Fifty million (GHC 50 million) to the West African Examination Council (WAEC) to support the conduct of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)”.
The Spokesperson of the Ministry of Education, Kwasi Kwarteng, stated that this disbursement reaffirms the government’s commitment to fulfilling its financial obligations to WAEC and ensuring uninterrupted operations.
“This disbursement reaffirms the Government’s commitment to fulfilling its financial obligations to WAEC, ensuring that the Council’s operations continue without interruption”.
The Ministry has reassured students, parents, guardians, and the public of its dedication to maintaining an environment that promotes seamless, efficient, high-quality education for all Ghanaian students.
