No industrialisation, no digitalisation – Cheddar

Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar and the Leader of the New Force Movement, has asserted that Ghana cannot achieve digitalisation without first embracing industrialisation.

Speaking at the launch of the New Force Movement’s 12 pillars for economic freedom in Accra on Sunday, Cheddar emphasized that industrialisation is essential for economic development and is the driving force behind improved productivity, mass production, and higher living standards.

“It is impossible to digitalise without industrialisation… No Industrialisation, no Digitalisation,” he declared, underscoring the foundational role that industrialisation plays in the global economy.

Bediako, who has expressed his ambition to become Ghana’s next President, also outlined his plan to attract $50 billion in investments by engaging the African diaspora and people of African descent worldwide. He described this initiative as “Ghana’s first $50 billion,” explaining that it would begin with an “African unification” effort, starting in Ghana.

“We [Ghana] will be the first people to start the project USA – United States of Africa, by people joining us [Ghana] and we welcoming them through our borders but also, they will also be investing on our land,”he explained.

Bediako’s vision includes granting Ghanaian citizenship and passports to Africans and those of African descent in the diaspora, provided they commit to investing in Ghana as part of his strategy to raise the $50 billion needed to drive this economic transformation.
