Bernard Mornah has been elected as the flagbearer for the People’s National Convention (PNC), a significant achievement as the party gears up for the December general elections. The results were announced by Electoral Commission officials at the UDS Guest House in Accra on September 7, 2024.
At the party’s congress, which focused on electing national executives, Mornah secured a decisive victory with 1,138 votes, while his opponent, David Apasera, received 216 votes.
In his victory address, Mornah called for unity within the party and invited Apasera to work together to strengthen the PNC’s position in the upcoming elections. He highlighted the importance of collaboration to enhance the party’s chances of success.
The congress, initially delayed by an injunction from Apasera’s camp, proceeded smoothly after the issue was resolved.
