Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), will file his nomination for the 2024 Presidential Election on Monday, September 9, 2024. The submission will take place at the headquarters of the Electoral Commission.
Dr. Bawumia will be joined by his running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, along with key figures from the party, including the National Chairman, General Secretary, and the Majority Leader in Parliament. A select group of Party Leaders will also accompany him.
In a statement released on Sunday, Justin Kodua Frimpong, the NPP’s General Secretary, announced that Dr. Bawumia will deliver an address to party supporters and the general public after completing the nomination process at the party’s headquarters.
“Members of the Party and the general public are invited to be part of this historic moment of POSSIBILITY in Ghana’s Next Chapter,” he added.

The NPP is pleased to announce to the general public that the Party’s 2024 Presidential Candidate, H.E Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia would, on Monday, September 9, 2024, file his presidential nomination at the headquarters of the Electoral Commission.
The Vice President and Leader of the Party would be accompanied by his Running Mate and Vice Presidential Candidate, Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Party’s National Chairman and General Secretary, the Majority Leader in Parliament, and some few Party Leaders.
After filing his presidential nomination, the Presidential Candidate would be addressing party sympathizers and the general public at the Party’s National Headquarters at 9:00am.
