The Municipal Chief Executive for Ashaiman,  Albert Boakye Okyere, has cautioned constituents to refrain from electoral violence as the country will soon head to elections. He made this  known when Zakmus business chain, handed over an ultra modern toilet facility and a lodging place for head potters popularly known as Kayaye in the municipality.

As Ghana’s elections draw closer, tension continues to rise, prompting calls for peace from various sectors of society. These appeals emphasize unity, stability, and the need to protect the nation’s democratic values to prevent any violence or unrest.

During the commissioning of the Kayaye apartment project, aimed at improving the livelihood of the less privileged, the Municipal Chief Executive for Ashaiman, Albert Boakye Okyere, took the opportunity to caution the public against election-related violence. He said, “Ghana has had several elections, yet some people still involve themselves in unhealthy electoral activities. I urge the people of Ashaiman to avoid such practices and not put themselves at odds with the security personnel in the municipality.”

On the other hand, the CEO of ZAKMUS Enterprise, Zakari Kwabina, encouraged the youth to focus on self-development, stating, “The youth must arise and develop themselves, for time waits for no man. You cannot rely on the government alone for your progress; it starts with you.”

Both leaders stressed the importance of personal responsibility and community peace during this critical time in Ghana’s political journey.
