The Ghana Grid Company LTD (GRIDCo) and the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) have linked the recent intermittent power outages, or ‘dumsor,’ to technical difficulties at the Ghana National Gas Company’s (GNGC) Gas Processing Plant in Atuabo.
Recently, several areas across the country have been experiencing power cuts due to a reduced gas supply for power generation.
In a joint statement, GRIDCo and ECG apologized for the inconvenience and assured the public that engineers from GNGC are working to resolve the issue and restore the gas supply to normal levels.
