The Technical University Senior Administrators Association of Ghana (TUSAAG) has announced a nationwide strike starting Friday, September 27, 2024.
The strike follows the government’s failure to meet its obligations under the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and to implement revised allowances for senior members of public universities.
As a result, TUSAAG has declared that all services at technical universities across the country will be suspended until their demands are fully met.
In a statement, TUSAAG expressed frustration, stating that it has exhausted all avenues for further discussion and is now demanding full implementation of all provisions in the CBA. The association specifically cited the government’s refusal to implement revised allowances, which were directed by the Ministry of Finance in May 2024, as a violation of their rights.
