The EHi NUTOME GALIZA 2024, under the theme “Rallying for Development,”was successfully held yesterday, bringing together chiefs, Queen Mothers, and a diverse gathering of people from all walks of life. The event, a grand durbar, was a celebration of unity and progress for the EHi community.
A high-profile delegation from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), led by Professor Joshua Alabi, attended the event on behalf of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama. In his address, Professor Alabi extended heartfelt congratulations to the Chief and people of EHi, conveying His Excellency Mahama’s love and greetings. He emphasized the strong relationship between the former president and the chiefs and people of EHi, reiterating the NDC’s commitment to supporting the area’s development.
In line with His Excellency Mahama’s earlier promises, Professor Alabi reaffirmed the NDC’s pledge to construct critical roads in the area and to establish an integrated gari factory aimed at boosting the processing of cassava—a major crop in the region. He also touched on key aspects of the NDC’s manifesto, including the Apprenticeship Program and the establishment of a Women’s Bank, which are aimed at empowering the youth and women in the region.
The NDC delegation included prominent members such as Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Member of Parliament for Ketu South; Hon. Edem Agbana, NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Ketu North; Hon. Egypt Kudjoto, Volta Regional Vice Chairman; and executives of the Ketu North constituency.
The EHi NUTOME GALIZA 2024 event marked a significant step in fostering unity and development in the region, with participants and stakeholders alike reaffirming their dedication to the progress of EHi and surrounding areas.
