A driver of a Toyota V8 fled the scene after fatally striking a pedestrian on the Kanda Highway on Tuesday, October 8, 2024.
Eyewitnesses report that the driver briefly stopped after the collision but quickly drove off. The accident, which happened around 8:30 p.m., led to temporary traffic congestion in the area.
Police have transported the unidentified victim’s body to a mortuary, the location of which remains undisclosed.
Residents in the area have expressed concern, stating that such accidents are common on this road due to the lack of street lighting.
