WHY AN AFRICAN UNION GOVERNMENT HAS NOT BEEN ACHIEVED, YET

By carefully looking at today’s data and comparing to past analyses, even as articulated by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, there is a couple of serious factors to which failure to form a Union Government of Africa can be attributed. As far as am concerned, sequentially from the top the causes are as below:

  1. Imperialist interests and interference or what others call the contest between African and foreign interests on the continent
  2. African heads of states most who don’t appreciate or are unaware of the world they live in and the powerful forces driving it to the detriment of the African continent.
  3. A complacent and socialized intellectual and middle-class group who think that things are normal – All societies are given direction by their middle and intellectual class, a failed society starts with a cowardly or misguided middle and intellectual class.

To clearly appreciate this suggestion, we ought to look no further than examining recent data from the African Development Bank on 2024 Africa economic outlook. The data clearly shows who is benefiting from the currently dysfunctional status quo in Africa and would want it continued.

Data indicates an annual leakage of a whopping $US 600 billion from the continent.

At the top of this nasty and shameful shortchanging of $US 600 billion is robbery by western corporations including mining interests and others to the tune of $US 275 billion. The AfDB being run by middle class Africans who and the bank having neocolonial money at its core, these middle-class Africans avoid exposing the stealing for what it is, they jokingly and complacently call this imperialist exploitation “international profit shifting”. When the powerful carefully engineer their theft, those aiding it call it “Profit Shifting”

Second leakage on the list is corruption, in which both the African middle-class and international cartels led by western imperialism take the lead, this is the very representation of complacency by our African elites, intellectuals and middle class who benefit from the crumbs falling off the chief robber’s table who turns himself into a master here and there. These are up to $US 148 billion.

There is another $US 90 billion attributed to illicit financial outflow, the same as by a United Nations report of 2021 on illicit financial outflow from Africa. This is traced again to western mining and financial institutions using carefully engineered robbery of the African continent due to their having an almost absolute control of the Continent’s financial architecture and infrastructure.

Finally, there is $US 74 billion outflow through poor risk perception, which risk ranking is by western institutions like Moody’s, Fitch etc., all who have come into conflict with the African Union and some of the African Heads of states who have threatened to set up an African credit rating agency for the continent due to their racist and imperialist bias towards African economies leading to their inaccurate and poor economic rating of the continent.

This imperialist Phenomena was of course first observed and written about extensively by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in his works, ‘Neocolonialism the last stage of Imperialism’, ‘Africa Must Unite’, ‘Class Struggle in Africa’ and many other of his works.

Nkrumah’s solution is the formation of a vanguard party the AAPRP (All African People’s revolutionary party) to which majority Africans should belong and the AAPRA (All African People’s Revolutionary Army) to lead the African people towards liberation including armed struggle against the imperialist forces and their representatives on the continent. While this method is very relevant today, it is rarely talked about or mutedly if ever it is.

Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s solutions are even more relevant today. Why?

The level of entrenchment of neocolonialist forces has deepened, the intertwining of imperialist interests with those of their subordinate African elite interests has intensified.

Seeing that the African elites have become so accustomed and entitled to this extent, it is almost unimaginable for them to give up these superficial benefits being enjoyed at the expense of a Union Government for Africa which would benefit the majority of African people. It therefore has to be a great shock such as previously happened in the Sahel states of Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger.

This will gain the revolutionaries a chance to take power in absolute terms, unify all African territories as well as stop all current and future jokers before starting an earnest reconstruction process of the African continent.

Starting with a continental railway platform, communication platform and various energy platforms all across the continent, this will give the continent a foundation upon which to be internationally competitive in industrialisation as it will at the same time be the real African integration which the African people have for so long fought to actualise.

For a Union Government of Africa to be actualized, it is important to support all Pan African groups like the African Continental Unity Party (ACUP) and AAPRP (All African People’s Revolutionary Party) which have the real solutions based on what African thinkers envisioned for the continent and are ready to fill the vacuum that has been left by an almost a leaderless continent, a place that has been abandoned to indiscriminate exploitation by anyone who wishes to do so around the world.

This Job calls for all Africans across the globe who have whatever little thing to give part of it for the struggle for total African liberation from Imperialist and neocolonialist controls using its black faces within the African community.
