East Legon fatal accident: Salifu Amoako’s son remanded

Elrad Amoako, the son of Prophet Salifu Amoako has been remanded in custody following his involvement in a fatal accident at East Legon.

He appeared before the Juvenile Court in Accra on Friday, November 1, 2024, where the court ordered the seizure of his American and Ghanaian passports to prevent any risk of flight.

The tragic accident, which occurred on October 12 claimed the lives of two individuals, sparking public outcry and calls for justice.

The accused, a minor, faces serious charges related to the accident, though specific details about the charges are yet to be disclosed.

The court also mandated a medical review for the accused, and he is expected to be taken to the University of Ghana Hospital on Monday for further examination. This review will assess his physical and mental health following the incident.
