Election 2024: Alan Kyerematen Leads Massive ‘Movement for Change’ Walk in Accra

Hundreds of supporters of the Movement for Change, led by Akwasi Addai Odike, a former presidential candidate of the United Progressive Party, gathered for a powerful demonstration in Accra to celebrate the conclusion of Alan Kyerematen’s Greater Accra campaign caravan.

The procession kicked off at Kwame Nkrumah Circle, making its way through key streets in the capital. Security personnel were present to guide the group, ensuring a smooth journey to their final destination. Here, Kyerematen, now running as an independent presidential candidate, is expected to address supporters as he aims to inspire voters ahead of the fast-approaching December 7 election.

With only five weeks left until election day, candidates and political movements are intensifying their efforts to connect with the electorate and solidify their base.

The Saturday, November 2 walk in Accra by the Movement for Change is anticipated to bring significant visibility to the Yellow Butterfly Movement. This coalition, driven by a shared vision of change, is garnering attention as it aligns multiple political voices.

According to Odike, leaders from diverse political backgrounds—including members of the People’s National Convention (PNC), former CPP members, the Green Party, the Union Government, and notable figures like Dr. Abu Sakara—have come together to answer Ghanaians’ calls for a unified third force to challenge the dominance of the NDC and NPP.

In a show of unity, they have pledged their support to Alan Kyerematen, rallying behind his bid to shift the nation’s political landscape in the upcoming December 2024 elections.
