The Accra High Court has issued an interim injunction restraining the Ghana Highway Authority Workers Union from continuing their strike action, which began on November 12, 2024.
The order, granted based on a motion filed by the Executive Secretary, Hon. Ofosu Asamoah, the applicant and represented by Counsel Alexander Owusu Junior, mandates that union members, agents, and employees cease all strike activities.
Additionally, the court directed the union to adhere to the National Labour Commission’s directive from November 6, 2024, instructing workers to halt the industrial action and resume their duties.
