In the lead-up to the December 7, 2024 general elections, Samira Bawumia, Ghana’s Second Lady, has publicly endorsed her husband, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as the best candidate to lead the nation through its current challenges.
During an interview with GTV, Samira emphasized Dr. Bawumia’s leadership qualities and vision, describing him as a transformative figure capable of addressing Ghana’s critical issues. She underscored that a vote for Dr. Bawumia and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is a vote for hope and progress.

Samira Bawumia called on Ghanaians to support Dr. Bawumia’s presidential bid, stressing that his experience, integrity, and hard work make him the ideal candidate to steer the country toward a prosperous future.
She said, “In the last eight years, we have worked hard to serve the people of this country and solve problems, and there is a lot more to be done. And I want you to trust His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia with the mantle.”
