Confusion erupted at the Mampong Infantry Junior Primary School (St. Monica’s) polling station in the Ashanti Region after National Democratic Congress (NDC) polling agents raised concerns over broken seals on voting materials.
The seals, which are required to remain intact until opened in the presence of political party representatives, were discovered to have been tampered with before the start of voting. This led to protests from NDC agents at the station.
A total of 617 voters are expected to cast their ballots at the polling station.
An Election Officer intervened to resolve the issue, preventing further delays to the voting process.
