The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong, has called on the party’s agents and volunteers to maintain vigilance and focus as the electoral process approaches its conclusion. Speaking at a press conference at the party’s headquarters, Kodua Frimpong highlighted the critical role agents play in ensuring transparency and safeguarding the integrity of the elections.
Commending Agents and Volunteers
Kodua Frimpong lauded the resilience and dedication demonstrated by NPP agents and volunteers across the country, describing their efforts as pivotal in upholding the democratic process.
“Our agents are the backbone of our electoral vigilance,” he stated. “Your commitment has been instrumental in ensuring fairness and transparency in this election, and I encourage you to remain steadfast.”
Call for Increased Vigilance
As the collation of results begins, Kodua Frimpong emphasized the importance of agents remaining at polling and collation centres to monitor the process closely.
“I want to urge our agents to be vigilant at this closing stage. It is at this point that our focus and dedication are most needed. Monitor every activity carefully and report any suspicious or irregular incidents immediately,” he said.
He further stressed that their efforts are not just about protecting the interests of the NPP but also about upholding Ghana’s democratic principles.
Appeal to Eligible Voters
The NPP General Secretary also urged voters who had not yet cast their ballots to seize the opportunity before polls closed.
“Every vote matters, and every vote counts,” he stated. “This is your chance to contribute to the future of our country. Make your way to your polling station and ensure your voice is heard.”
Commitment to a Transparent Process
The NPP reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a fair and transparent electoral process, urging all stakeholders to respect the rules and prioritize the interests of the nation.
As Ghana awaits the final results of the 2024 elections, Kodua Frimpong’s message underscores the importance of vigilance, integrity, and active participation in safeguarding the democratic process.
