Chief Imam Congratulates Mahama on Winning Presidential Election

The National Chief Imam, Shaikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, has offered his sincere congratulations to President-elect John Dramani Mahama following his victory in the 2024 presidential election. In a statement released on Tuesday, December 10, the Chief Imam commended Mahama for his resilience and dedication to serving both the nation and humanity.

“The victory of the former President is a reflection of his resilience and perseverance in pursuit of service to country and humanity,” Shaikh Dr. Sharubutu stated, highlighting the importance of Mahama’s continued commitment to the well-being of Ghana.

The Chief Imam expressed his confidence that the nation’s trust in Mahama would lead to strengthened constitutional rule and good governance in the country. He emphasized the importance of stability and progress, hoping that the incoming administration would build on Ghana’s democratic values.

In his statement, the Chief Imam also commended Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for his dignified acceptance of the election results.
