The Executive Presbytery of the Assemblies of God Church has paid a courtesy call on President-elect John Dramani Mahama to congratulate him on his victory in the 2024 general elections.
The delegation, led by the General Superintendent of the church, Reverend Stephen Wengam, visited Mr. Mahama on Tuesday, December 17. During the meeting, Reverend Wengam assured the President-elect of the church’s unwavering support for his leadership.
“The church will at all times stand firm with him in his quest to reset and lead Ghana as its next head of state,” Reverend Wengam affirmed.
Mahama’s Gratitude and Commitment
A longtime member of the Assemblies of God Church, Mr. Mahama expressed deep appreciation for the church’s consistent guidance and encouragement throughout his political journey. He was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Lordina Mahama, who also thanked the church for its prayers and support.
The President-elect gave a firm assurance to lead Ghana with integrity, promising to prioritize transparency and honesty in his administration.
“I will always be truthful to Ghanaians and lead with honesty,” Mahama pledged.

Reverend Wengam offered prayers for the President-elect, his family, and his staff, asking for divine guidance and strength in steering the affairs of the nation.
