The Zug-Raan Bawku Naba Asigri Abugrago Azoka II, the Overlord of the Kusaug Traditional Area, has officially congratulated President-elect John Dramani Mahama on his victory in the December 7, 2024, general elections. This message was extended on behalf of the Chiefs and People of the Kusaug Traditional Area.
Recognition of Mahama’s Leadership Qualities
In a statement signed by David Adoliba, the Secretary to the Overlord of Kusaug, the Zug-Raan highlighted Mahama’s overwhelming endorsement by Ghanaians as a testament to his leadership qualities and the positive impact of his previous term in office.
“Your massive endorsement by Ghanaians to take over the reins of government of our beloved country once again is a testament to your sterling qualities and good work during your previous tenure as President of this country,” the statement read.
Optimism for Peaceful Future
The Chiefs and People of Kusaug expressed particular optimism about the future under Mahama’s leadership, referencing the peace the region enjoyed during his previous presidency. However, the Zug-Raan also acknowledged that peace has been disrupted in recent years due to ongoing conflicts in the area, resulting in loss of life.
Despite these challenges, the Zug-Raan expressed confidence that Mahama’s return to office would restore peace and stability in Kusaug, reaffirming their strong support for his leadership.
“Congratulations once again, and may the Almighty God grant you the strength and wisdom to successfully carry out your mandate,” concluded the message.
