The Ghana Union of Traders’ Associations (GUTA) has extended its heartfelt congratulations to President John Dramani Mahama on his return to the Presidency.
In a statement, GUTA lauded the President’s leadership qualities and expressed confidence in his ability to steer the nation toward growth and development describing his re-election as historic.
“His historic return to the Presidency has not been a surprise at all because given his deep understanding of politics, profound experience in leadership, great personal charisma, excellent communication skills, and other good leadership qualities we do not doubt his capability”.
Additionally, the association also prayed for divine guidance and blessings for the President.
“We pray to the Almighty God to grant him good health, long life, increase him in knowledge and wisdom, as well as guard and guide him in his performance of duty as a President,” the statement read.
GUTA reaffirmed its commitment and assurance to working closely with the government as a key stakeholder in Ghana’s economic ecosystem.
“We, members of the trading community, are partners to the state. We assure the President of our readiness at all times to work in close collaboration with the government to achieve the set objectives for the development of our dear nation in a free, fair, and constructive manner.”
Furthermore, GUTA urged the administration to engage with stakeholders to address challenges that could hinder economic growth.
“We also hope the new government will listen to the genuine concerns of the business community with rapt attention and together find solutions that will foster economic development.”
