The Service has reassured the public, particularly the affected traders, that no payments are required for such services.

The Service Further assured the public that the matter is being treated with utmost seriousness. Investigations are underway to identify any officers involved in this misconduct, and those found culpable will face disciplinary action in line with GNFS regulations.
“We assure all affected victims that the matter is being taken seriously. A thorough investigation is underway, and any officer found culpable will be dealt with in accordance with the GNFS’s disciplinary code”.
The GNFS has called on anyone with information regarding such incidents to report to its Greater Accra Headquarters at Korle-Bu or contact its Public Relations Department at 050 960 8744.
The Kantamanto Market fire, which occurred earlier this month, destroyed several shops, leaving traders with significant losses. GNFS continues to play a critical role in assisting victims and investigating the cause of the fire.
