Parliament has approved the nominations of Ahmed Ibrahim, and Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare as ministers.

This approval follows an extensive vetting process and debate in the House, leading to a majority vote of the nominees.

The vetting process, chaired by the Parliamentary Appointments Committee, provided a platform for rigorous scrutiny of the nominees’ qualifications, competencies, and vision for their respective ministries.

Ahmed Ibrahim, the MP Banda, has been approved to head the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs.

Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, MP for Techiman North has been approved for oversight responsibility at the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry.

The approved Ministers have been recognised for their dedication to public service and grassroots development and are expected to bring a fresh perspective and innovative approaches to their respective roles.

They are expected to leverage their knowledge, expertise, and leadership skills to drive the progress of the John Mahama government.
