The Dream Projects Education Foundation has donated exercise books and textbooks to two deprived communities in Asante Akim North.

The donation forms part of the foundation’s commitment to supporting needy students and deprived communities.

In Addokrom and Nsonyameye, they organised stakeholder engagement where parents and opinion leaders were sensitised on the need to prioritise education.

The Municapal Director of Education for Asante Akim North, Mrs. Mildred A. K. Agyapong, who was a key resource person, shared her excitement about the donation and assured that the beneficiaries will take very good care of the books as they will go a long way to support teaching and learning.

Several people shared their opinions about the engagement and donations, including the Odikro of Nsonyameye Nana Oduro Fikyi.

We also like to use this opportunity to ask the government to honuor its promise of incentivising teachers who accept postings to deprived communities. We commend the gallant teachers and headmasters in the above schools for their commitment, some of whom have spent from 8 to 15 years ensuring that these children are not denied education.

Dream Projects Education Foundation is grateful to the Greengrant Fund for its support.
