Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, Chairperson of the African Prosperity Dialogues (APD), has urged Africans to strive for economic sovereignty to drive the continent’s progress and development.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the APD, she emphasized the event’s role in transforming Africa through improved infrastructure and economic growth.
She called on Africans to reduce dependence on borrowing and instead focus on self-sufficiency by creating and producing their goods rather than relying on imports.
Dr. Dlamini Zuma also highlighted the importance of investing in young people and empowering women to enhance productivity and innovation.
She further urged African leaders to make the continent a better home for its people by prioritizing development and sustainable growth.
