A resident of Sagabo was fatally shot while herding his cattle in the Sagabo-Zoogin area of Bawku.

This incident is believed to be a retaliatory attack following the shooting of two level 400 students from the Gambaga College of Education on March 12, 2025.
The two students were shot in Gambaga, with the attack reportedly linked to the ongoing Bawku Conflict.
This conflict, which began in November 2021 due to attempts to install a parallel chief, has seen a resurgence since October 2024.
The renewed violence has resulted in the deaths of approximately 73 individuals, including women and children, highlighting the severe impact of the conflict on the community.
