President Mahama’s official X account hacked – Cyber Security Authority

The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) has confirmed that the official X account of President John Dramani Mahama has been compromised.

In a statement, the CSA disclosed that the unauthorized access was detected on Monday, March 17, when the account began posting suspicious cryptocurrency-related content.

The breach has sparked concerns among the public, with many questioning the security of social media accounts belonging to high-profile political figures.

However, the CSA has assured that it is collaborating with X and other relevant stakeholders to resolve the issue and prevent future incidents.

The first sign of the hack emerged when Mahama’s account started promoting a cryptocurrency project called Solanafrica, a fraudulent scheme falsely claiming ties to the Solana blockchain and offering supposed cost-free payments across Africa.
