National Security has revealed that empty money storage boxes were discovered at the residence of former Bank of Ghana Governor, Dr. Ernest Addison, during a raid on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

According to National Security officials, they had obtained a search warrant before entering Dr. Addison’s Roman Ridge home.

They claim the operation was based on intelligence suggesting that the former governor owned funds belonging to the central bank.

In an exclusive interview with 3News.com, National Security also admitted to handling the CCTV system in Addison’s residence, explaining that they retrieved the hard drive as part of standard investigative procedures.

However, they firmly denied allegations that operatives stole cash or jewelry from the household.

“We did not take any money or jewelry from Dr. Addison’s home. We will, in due course, make public a full list of items retrieved during the search,” a National Security source stated.
