Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga has commended President John Dramani Mahama for staying true to his campaign promises, describing him as a “talk and do” leader.

Speaking in Parliament, Ayariga emphasized that the 2025 budget reflects Mahama’s commitment to delivering key policy changes that benefit Ghanaians.

“Mr Speaker, the budget clearly establishes President John Dramani Mahama as a talk and do President of Ghana,” he stated.

He highlighted the abolition of the E-levy, betting tax, and emission levy as major wins for the public, crediting Mahama for following through on his pledges.

“E-levy abolished, E-levy ‘yamutu.’ Talk and do President. Betting tax ‘yamutu.’ Talk and do president,” he stressed.

Ayariga further pointed to the planned removal of VAT on motor vehicle insurance policies as another step toward easing the financial burden on citizens.

“Mr Speaker, President John Dramani Mahama promised to abolish the VAT on motor vehicle insurance policy, Mr Speaker that is also going. Talk and do president,” he added.
