A&C Mall in East Legon has confirmed that the solar panel structure at its parking area collapsed on Tuesday, March 25, following a heavy rainstorm in Accra.
Fortunately, no injuries were recorded.
In an official statement, the management of A&C Mall expressed regret over the incident and assured the public that measures were being taken to address the situation.
“Our team, along with the relevant authorities, is on-site to manage the situation and ensure a swift resolution. We sincerely apologize for any distress or inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your patience as we work to address the situation. Your safety remains our top priority,” the statement read.
Videos from the scene showed the collapsed structure resting on multiple vehicles, with eyewitnesses describing the moment strong winds ripped through the area.
The management of A&C Mall has promised to provide further updates as investigations continue.
