Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang received medical treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) on Friday, March 28, 2025, following a sudden illness.
In a statement issued by Minister for Government Communications Felix Kwakye Ofosu on Sunday, March 30, 2025, the Vice President fell ill after work and was subsequently taken to the UGMC for medical attention on Saturday.
While details of her condition were not disclosed, the statement indicated that, based on expert medical advice, she will be traveling abroad for further treatment.
“We wish the Vice President a speedy recovery, ” the statement concluded.
