President John Dramani has terminated the appointment of Charles Kraikue as the Director-General of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) with immediate effect.

In a letter signed by the Secretary to the President, Callistus Mahama directed Kraikue to hand over his duties to Stephen Wilfred Arthur, who will serve as the Acting Director-General of the Authority.

The President expressed his appreciation for Kraikue’s service to the nation.

“I write to formally inform you that the President of the Republic has terminated your appointment as the Director-General of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, effective immediately.

“You are directed to hand over your duties to Stephen Wilfred Arthur, who shall act as the Director-General of the Authority. The President extends his gratitude for your service to the nation.”

The reason for the dismissal was not stated in the official communication.

However, the decision comes amid ongoing restructuring within key government institutions.

Arthur, the newly appointed Acting Director-General, is expected to oversee operations and ensure a smooth transition at the authority.
