The Upper West Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with a series of motorbike thefts and robberies in the Wa Metropolis.
The suspects, identified as Abdulai Ibrahim, 34, and Kipo Ibrahim, 36, were picked up on March 29, 2025, after weeks of being on the police’s wanted list.
Their arrests follow reports of robbery and motorbike theft in the Danko and Napogbakole areas, which have left residents anxious and frustrated.
During a search of their hideout, police retrieved seven stolen motorbikes and three number plates with registration numbers M-24-UW 4134, M-21-UW 6468, and M-20-UW 2846, which are believed to be linked to their operations.
The two suspects were arraigned before the Wa District Magistrate Court on Friday, April 4, 2025, and have since been remanded into police custody.
They are expected to reappear in court on Monday, April 28, 2025.
