
The Minister for Roads and Highways, Hon. Kwame Agbodza, has held discussions with the World Bank Regional Director for Infrastructure, Mr. Franz R. Dress-Cross, aimed at boosting Ghana’s road infrastructure sector.

The high-level engagement that took place on Tuesday, 08 April 2025, focused on key strategies, including the reintroduction of road tolls, technical support for contract management, de-capping of the Road Fund, and budgetary support for the Kumasi Urban Mobility and Accessibility Project (KUMAP).
Hon. Agbodza stated that the Ministry’s priority is on road maintenance this year and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to delivering 12 key road projects under the “BIG PUSH” Initiative, President Mahama’s vision to enhance road interconnectivity across the country.
The meeting forms part of broader efforts to strengthen collaboration between Ghana and development partners to improve the nation’s transport network.
